about me
I am a practising artist and a graduate of Glasgow School of Art. Having lectured in Art for many years I now hold a management position and work as the Director of Creative Industries at Ayr College in the West of Scotland. I was born in Ayrshire and have worked in Ayr for the last 20 years while raising my daughter Lindsay now a lecturer in performing arts.
My husband Hamish, as well as his academic role at Anglia Ruskin University is also a practising artist, a graduate in Fine Art Photography & Video and now also working in web design. All in all we are a pretty busy family. My work now spans a few decades and has evolved from a fairly traditional “Glasgow Style” into a much more simple and semi- abstract love affair with colour and texture. I have shown my work across Scotland and produce both painting and photographic images.

I love the landscapes of Tuscany and in particular the northern mountainous areas round the Garfagnana and Barga where I have family and friends. My husband and I have a house in Barga and Hamish lives and works there much of the time.

Music and all of the creative arts have inspired my life. Travel and other peoples cultures are my consuming passions.
I practise Reiki on a daily basis and use it as a meditative tool.
